Producer-director Harish Shah, another well-known name in the film industry for the last 40 years, died at 6 am on Tuesday. Harish was 76 years old and was battling cancer. He made a short film Why Me, which won the President’s Award, for bringing the story of people struggling with the same disease to the world. Harish Shah was cremated at 1 pm in the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai.
Film producer Harish Shah is no more.
He had produced Kala Sona, Mere Jeevan Saathi, Dhan Daulat, Zalzala, Jaal-The Trap, Hotel, Ram Tere Kitne Naam etc.

Jaal-The Trap was the last film produced by Harish Shah as a producer with Sunny Deol in 2003. According to Harish’s brother Vinod, he had been battling cancer for almost 10 years, he showed this yearning in a short film on cancer.

Harish mostly spent his time on social media while away from films. On Twitter, he often updated his thoughts and information about his personal life. While battling cancer, he shared a picture of him with the poster of Why Me, which showed a hole in his throat. Due to this, he could not speak for about 2 years.
