New Delhi, PTI / Business Desk. The domestic spot market recorded a fall in gold and silver prices on Tuesday. In the national capital, on Tuesday, gold fell by Rs 114. According to HDFC Securities, the spot price of gold in Delhi on Tuesday declined to Rs 49,996 per 10 grams. Domestic gold prices fell on Tuesday due to the fall in gold futures prices globally and strengthening rupee. Earlier in the previous session, gold had closed at Rs 50,110 per 10 grams on Monday.
According to HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel, on Tuesday, the spot price of 24-carat gold in Delhi was also trending down by Rs 114.
The price of silver has also declined on Tuesday. Silver declined by Rs 140 per kg on Tuesday. The fall brought the price of silver to Rs 53,427 per kg. Earlier in the previous session, silver had closed at Rs 53,567 per kg on Monday.
Talking about the international market, on Tuesday evening, the global futures price of gold was down by 0.57 percent or $ 10.30 on Comex at $ 1803.80 an ounce. At the same time, the global spot price of gold was trending at $ 1803.24 an ounce, rising by $ 0.03 or $ 0.48.
At the same time, the global futures price of silver was down by 1.73 percent or $ 0.34 on Comex on Tuesday at $ 19.45 an ounce and the global spot price of silver was up by 0.11 percent or $ 0.02 at $ 19.10 an ounce.
