Released in 2004, American comedy became a cult
In the clip shared on the social network, the 22-year-old singer plays Latrell Spencer (originally played by star Terry Crews), while her boyfriend plays one of the Wilson twins (roles of the brothers Shawn and Marlon Wayans). The couple recreated the part of the 2004 comedy where the protagonists – who are FBI agents disguised as socialites – go to the beach.
“What a beautiful sunny day,” wrote Rebecca in the caption of the publication, which received more than 5,000 comments.
“Latrela”, a follower joked, while a fan said: “You guys are awesome!”.

‘As Branquelas’ has a score of only 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, an American site that aggregates film and television reviews. At the time it was released, the film was also nominated for five categories in the Golden Raspberry, a humorous award that chooses the worst productions launched by Hollywood.
Despite this, the comedy directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans ended up becoming a cult, and fans have been asking for a sequel for years. In an interview on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ in October 2020, Marlon Wayans commented on the possibility of a second feature being released: “We are working on this. I’ll let you know when that happens. But we are moving slowly in that direction … I like to make films in which I am a black man. It’s a lot less makeup “.
