In addition, 295 known cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. The reason why the number of cases in the last 24 hours exceeds the number of active cases is that they are part of late notifications and when they enter the system, they are already part of the recovered cases.

Of the 1,544,295 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,514,115 are considered recovered and 29,869 have died.

The bulletin released by Sesab also counts 1,857,579 discarded cases, 332,482 under investigation and 63,262 health professionals who have been confirmed for Covid-19.

These data represent official notifications compiled by the Board of Epidemiological Surveillance in Health of Bahia (Divep-BA), together with municipal surveillance and the Ministry of Health databases until 5 pm this Friday.

The complete data can be accessed on the secretariat’s website and on the platform provided by the agency, the Business Intelligence.
