Even with the decrease in positive cases for covid-19 in the Federal District, young people continue to lose the battle to the virus. This Thursday (5/5), the Health Department of the Federal District (SES-DF) notified the death of a young woman who was between 30 and 39 years old. In addition, two other deaths were confirmed. They take place between February and May, and all the victims were female.
In all, 11,658 people could not resist and died since the beginning of the pandemic. Another worrying factor is the transmission rate. For the fifth day in a row, the index rose and reached 0.99 this Thursday (5/5). According to information from the Epidemiological Bulletin, the viral index was 0.96 on Wednesday (4/5), 0.95 on Tuesday (3/5), 0.92 on Monday (2/5) and 0.84 last Friday (29/4).
The current number is worrying, because according to the World Health Organization (WHO), when the rate is above 1, it demonstrates that the pandemic is out of control. In this way, the rate confirms that a group of 100 people can infect another 99 , in the DF.
Regarding those infected, 193 new positive cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Thus, the total number of people infected in the federal capital reached 697,373. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the secretariat accounts that more than 621 thousand are residents of the DF, 36 thousand from Goiás, 9 thousand from other states and 30 thousand are under investigation.
The moving average of infections is at 201, which represents an increase of 29% compared to 14 days ago. The moving average of deaths is at 1.8 — this represents a 50% drop, compared to the calculation of 14 days ago.
