With his name featured in this week’s sports news, coach Jorge Jesus was in Brazil and granted some interviews. One of them was for the program Bem, Amigos, on SporTV, in which the former coach of Flamengo recalled his time at the club between 2019 and 2020, reporting that it was the main moment of his career.

“It was the height of my career, in every way. My time at Flamengo for me is historic. Not only for the titles we won, but for the relationship I had with the players. I’ve never had a team where we were so connected and where I felt they liked me so much. I had never heard my players say they loved me. It was a very strong tune.”said JJ.

This week, journalist Renato Maurício Prado published on his blog at UOL a report in which he reports quotes from Jorge Jesus in an informal conversation. One of the things that the Portuguese said was that he would accept to return to Flamengo, and that he will decide his future until the 20th of this month.

JJ gives a different version in the interview with SporTV

“It is a very complicated question from a professional and ethical point of view. What I want most is for Flamengo to win the goals they deserve, and I’m going to follow my career. I can be Flamengo’s coach in, I don’t know, a year, two years. Now I’m a free coach, I can choose whoever I want. Maybe in a month or two, I’m not a free coach anymore. That in my head is coming back to Brazil to train, yes”declared Jorge Jesus.
