Stellantis confirms another novelty for 2022, in its Jeep brand. This is the new Gladiator pickup, derived from the Wrangler jeep. Despite having the size of medium pickup trucks, its proposal is different. The promise is to “redefine the pickup truck segment” and offer unprecedented off-road differentials.
Among the main attractions can be highlighted removable doors and roof
, as well as a windshield with a folding function. There will still be off road front camera
to facilitate the visualization of obstacles in sections of difficult access.
In addition, the pickup Jeep
comes with rigid axle in the front and in the rear, both with helical springs. To help position the utility on the trails there is a front camera. THE gladiator
also features the folding windshield, removable doors and roof and other features of the wrangler
Because the suspension is focused on off-road and offers great articulation capacity, the load capacity in the bucket lags behind the traditional models, with 544 kg. THE Jeep
confirmed the model for Brazil along with a photo of the Rubicon model, but did not give details on which version will come or if it will have changes.
The choice for the Rubicon version also adds that the engine will probably be the well-known 3.6 V6 Pentastar
gasoline engine, with 285 hp and 35.9 kgfm of torque. It will work in conjunction with the 8-speed automatic transmission
reduced 4×4 traction and front and rear differential locks.
