Everything We Know About James Cameron’s “Avatar 2” Sequel

More than ten years after the release of “Avatar”, the success that topped the box office, the sequel directed by James Cameron it finally seems to have come to fruition, and now, it’s closer to reaching the fans who’ve been waiting for so long. “Avatar: The Way of Water” will be displayed in 3D and will not need the glasses that are normally used for the broadcast type. The sequel will be responsible for introducing a new three-dimensional laser system, created by the company Christie Digital. 4K display and with an option of 48fps, a frame rate per second that is twice that of traditional cinema, are also in the filmmaker’s plans.

The recordings officially started in 2019, in New Zealand, and were resumed in 2020 after the Covid-19 pandemic. During this testing and filming period, James commented that they spent a few days in the forest of Kauai, an island located in Hawaii, so that the actors and actresses could observe how to behave and survive in that type of place.

“I took the actors on what I might call a sense-memorial odyssey”he said. “We went to Kauai. We lived in the rainforest for a few days. We cook over campfires. We drink water from the leaves. I said, ‘Okay, now we’re going to walk on a trail and I want you to observe as much as you can about how to step on the ground, how to put your hands in the right place when you go up a steep place.
