Simone Tebet suspends campaign agenda on suspicion of Covid

MDB’s pre-candidate for the presidency, Senator Simone Tebet decided to suspend campaign agendas after her husband, the Secretary of Government of Mato Grosso do Sul Eduardo Rocha test positive for Covid-19.
“As a precaution, out of respect for people and in compliance with the determinations of health protocols and sanitary standards, the senator will carry out the test this Tuesday and, until the result of the exam, will remain at her residence, fulfilling her agenda online”, says in a note the parliamentary team.
In the midst of internal disputes within the MDB – which is still divided between supporting Squid and Bolsonaro – Tebet has maintained his candidacy for the presidency. In the latest Ipespe poll, released on Friday, the senator appears with 1% of voting intentions.
