The capital of São Paulo continues with vaccination campaigns against Covid-19, flu, measles and poliomyelitis nthis Thursday (12).

The Covid-19 vaccine is available for children aged 5 to 11 years, adolescents and adults. The immunizing agent against the influenza virus, which causes the flu, can be applied to pregnant and postpartum women, in addition to the elderly over 60 years of age, health workers, children over six months and under five years of age, indigenous peoples, education of public and private schools, people with disabilities and/or comorbidities.

The two vaccines can be found in Basic Health Units (UBSs), Outpatient Medical Assistance (AMAs)/Integrated UBSs, megaposts and drive-thrus in the capital.

For the measles vaccine, children aged six months and under five years are eligible, in addition to health professionals and those born after 1960. In addition, polio vaccination is available for children under five years of age, with no vaccination history or with incomplete vaccination schedule. This goes for travelers, immigrants and refugees from endemic or outbreak countries. The two immunizing agents are applied at UBSs and Integrated WADAs/UBSs.

It is worth remembering that immunizations against measles and Covid-19 should not be applied simultaneously to children between 5 and 11 years of age, and immunization against Covid-19 should be prioritized. After a period of 15 days, the measles vaccine can be given. For the population over 12 years old, simultaneous immunization between measles, flu and Covid-19 vaccines can be done.
