Galo returns to the field next Saturday, to face Atlético-GO, at Independência, for the sixth round of the Brasileirão.
Atlético-MG drew 1-1 with Red Bull Bragantino, on the night of this Wednesday (11), in an early game, valid for the seventh round of the Brasileirão. The match was played at the Nabi Abi Chedid stadium, in Bragança Paulista. Nacho Fernandez scored the goal that tied the match for the Minas Gerais club.
Galo saw the hosts take the lead after just 12 minutes of play, with Ytalo. The response from the visitors followed. At 18′, after pressure from Atletica in the attack, referee Bráulio da Silva Machado even scored a penalty and sent off Leo Ortiz, after seeing the ball touch the defender’s arm in a kick by Guilherme Arana inside the area. But, he was alerted by VAR and reverted the decision after six minutes of review. And the tie even came at the dead ball. But only in the second half, with Nacho Fernandez, in a free kick.
For Turkish coach Mohammed, Atletico played the way they were meant to play. “The flavor is different. The team regained form, intensity, control of situations. In the second half, the team played as it should. We had 18 shots, 65% of possession. The team recovered its form. It makes you very calm. It’s the most important thing”, pointed out the commander.
Galo returns to the field next Saturday, at 4 pm, to face Atlético-GO, at the Independência stadium, in Horto, for the sixth round of the Brasileirão. Then, it hosts Independiente Del Valle, on Thursday (19), at Mineirão, for the fifth round of the Copa Libertadores group stage. The Minas Gerais team leads Group D of the South American competition, with eight points.
