1- The Invention of Hugo Cabret
Hugo Cabret’s Invention tells the story of an orphan living a secret life in the walls of a train station in Paris. With the help of an eccentric girl, he seeks the answer to a mystery that links the father he recently lost, the grumpy toy store owner who lives below him, and a heart-shaped, seemingly keyless lock.
2- The Queen
Margaret Thatcher had to face a number of prejudices to establish herself as the UK’s prime minister in a hitherto male-dominated world. During the economic downturn caused by the oil crisis of the late 1970s, she took unpopular steps to get the country back on track. Her biggest test, however, was when the UK clashed with Argentina in the Falklands War.
3- Your Best Story
During World War II, London is bombed by the Germans. The morale of the military is low and the population hopeless. That’s why screenwriter Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton) and a team make a film to cheer up in times of crisis.
