Gossip Girl Actor Detonates Series Finale: ‘It Doesn’t Make Sense’

Currently living one of the controversial superheroes of the Prime Video series, the boys, Chace Crawford recalled his best-known work, the teen drama gossip Girlwhich he claims ended in a way that made no sense.

The actor who played Nate Archibald on The CW show said he was shocked when he learned of the twist at the end of the series that concluded its sixth and final season in 2012, revealing Dan Humphrey as Gossip Girl.

During his recent appearance on the Australian talk show The ProjectCrawford assured that the final revelation surprised and disappointed not only him, but the fans of the series, who thought that his character was the mysterious blogger.

“I think I was like, ‘Was Dan Gossip Girl? How, what, what are you talking about? I think the fans said that [eles achavam] that Nate was Gossip Girl, anything would have made more sense than Dan being Gossip Girl,” he pointed out.

In fact, the very interpreter of Dan Humphrey, the current star of the Netflix series, You, Penn Badgley had a hard time coming to terms with his character being revealed as the evil blogger, which made filming the scene where he proclaims himself Gossip Girl very difficult for him.

“I couldn’t keep it together. Something came over me and I just couldn’t say it. I kept laughing. I couldn’t stop. I was sweating. I was having an out-of-body experience,” he said recently in an interview with American magazine Esquire.

Badgley previously agreed with Chase about how pointless it was to reveal her character as Gossip Girl.

“At the end of gossip Girl, whatever your reaction to whether it was smart to do it or not, that he’s Gossip Girl — it didn’t align with Dan’s character. Right? Crawford asked him.

“Yes,” he replied without batting an eye.
