Manchester United confirmed this Friday (10) that 11 players will leave the club at the end of their contracts. From the main squad, the club informed that it will not renew the contracts of Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matić, in addition to Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani, who had already had their departures confirmed.
In the youth categories, five other players will not have their contracts renewed: D’Mani Mellor, Reece Devine, Paul McShane, Connor Stanley and Paul Woolston.
Manchester had already announced that they would not renew their contract with Paul Pogba after the end of the contract. In his second spell at the club that revealed him, the Frenchman was unable to repeat the performances he had in Italian football. At least three European teams are interested in signing Pogba.
A return to Juventus is more strongly speculated, although Real Madrid and PSG are considering signing the striker as a plan B. The priority for both teams is Tchouaméni, a 21-year-old French prospect.
Cavani says goodbye to United after two seasons. The 35-year-old Uruguayan could return to Italian football, this time at Salernitana. Cavani worked in the country between 2006 and 2013, with stints in Palermo and Napoli.
