Lewandowski is seen as the part of the cast that Icardi should have been: a goalscorer beyond Mbappé. The Argentine striker is on PSG’s possible sales. The former Inter Milan player scored just five goals in 30 games last season.
L’Equipe says Paris understands that the signing of Lewandowski would diminish Messi and Neymar’s privileges in the team and that one of them could be more frequent on the bench. In this case, the Brazilian is behind in the queue, and this could be a problem in the future. Mbappé, especially after the renovation, is untouchable.
Barcelona still has the preference
Lewandowski is also the cover of this Sunday’s Sport newspaper. The Catalan daily indicates that the Pole has an agreement with Barcelona, something that has been in the news for some time. He would sign a two-year contract, with an option to renew for one more. The salary would be 12 million euros (R$ 63 million) net per season.
L’Equipe also points out that the Spanish team is ahead of everyone in the competition for Lewandowski. However, Barça’s financial situation is the biggest obstacle in the operation, in addition to the Bayern’s resistance to selling their strikerwhich has one more year of contract.

Barcelona has billions in debt, needs to cut spending and increase its revenues to meet the salary cap imposed by LaLiga. The club estimates that it will have to reduce the squad’s salary sheet from 560 million euros to 400 million (R$ 2 billion).
The Spanish team is also trying to sell some players, such as midfielder De Jong, Manchester United target. If it fails to relieve its finances, Barcelona will not be able to sign up new players.
