Vasco gives Bangu a draw at the end of the first leg of the quarterfinals of Carioca under-20 | vasco

Vasco and Bangu drew 2-2, in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Campeonato Carioca sub-20, this Saturday morning, in Moça Bonita. Champion of the Guanabara Cup, the team from São Januário takes the advantage of the tie for the next match to advance to the semifinals.

Vasco’s goals were scored by Julião and Paixão. The two teams will play again next Wednesday, at 10 am, at Estádio Nivaldo Pereira, in Nova Iguaçu.

Vasco took the lead at the beginning of the game, in a penalty kick by Julião. Bangu equalized in the 37th minute, and the teams were tied for halftime.

In the second half, Paixão took advantage of a cross kick from Caio Dantas and put Vasco in the lead again. Bangu, however, went for a tie in stoppage time, in the 47th minute of the second half.

In the other game this Saturday, Botafogo beat Flamengo by 2-1 in Gávea and took the lead in the confrontation.
