In the comics, the Iron Heart is the codename of the young and brilliant Riri Williams, a student who builds her own Iron Man armor with improvised parts, gaining the attention of Tony Stark himself, who decides to support her in her dream of becoming a Super hero.

The young and talented Dominique Thorne, from the films ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ and ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’, has been confirmed as Riri of the MCU, marking the character’s big debut in live-action.

the marvels

The Marvels is an upcoming American superhero film based on the characters Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau from Marvel Comics. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it will be the sequel to Captain Marvel (2019), a continuation of the Ms. Marvel (2022) and the thirty-third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell and stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, along with Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, along with Samuel L. Jackson.

In addition to the presence of Monica Rambeau, Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers, we know that the film will have a cosmic plot involving Earth and the rest of the galaxy, with the possibility of parallel dimensions being included in the adventure.

The main clue to this is Kamala’s bracelet and the post-credits scene with Carol Danvers. According to the creators, that was indeed Captain Marvel and that, apparently, the two heroines switched places.

Currently in post-production, The Marvels opens in theaters on July 27, 2023.
