Bitcoin up 8%, ETH up 3% and LUNA up 124% in new cryptocurrency rally
The cryptocurrency market has dawned on a new rally, with (BTC) once again touching the key $20K level. About a week after the launch of The Merge by , cryptocurrencies are back on the rise and recovering their profits.
Bitcoin, the main cryptocurrency on the market, has returned to rise after touching a dangerous level. At around 9am, the price of BTC was R$109,319, up more than 8% in just 24 hours. With Bitcoin’s sharp rise, the coin’s price was about 3.3% above last week’s price.
Meanwhile, the price of Ethereum is up 3.2% as the blockchain proof-of-work update approaches. The price was BRL 8,861 around 9 am, according to CoinGecko, and the weekly high is already up to 6%.
The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading at the $994.1 billion mark, up nearly 2% in the last 24 hours. However, total trading volume dropped by more than 5% to close to $73.39 billion.
Price of top cryptocurrencies today
While the cryptocurrency market saw its prices skyrocketing, the price of altcoins fell, along with the price of the dollar. Currencies such as , USDC, and DAI were trading down 0.6% that remains through this morning. According to CoinGecko, the current price of stablecoins is BRL 5.21.
Among altcoins, the scenario was optimistic. The BNB, and () coins were trading up 5% this morning. In addition, the currency (SOL) recorded a rise of 6.7% to R$184 and the currency (DOT) recorded a rise of 7.7% to R$40. The meme coins, (DOGE) and ( SHIB), recorded an increase of 5.2% and 6.3%, respectively.
The biggest rise of the day, however, was registered by the cryptocurrency (LUNA), which registered a 124% increase in the last 24 hours. According to CoinGecko, between 8am and 9am this Friday morning, the coin rose more than 80%. The current price of LUNA is R$23.62.
Meanwhile, among DeFi coins and gaming tokens, the highlight was the Ape Coin, tokens inspired by the Bored Ape collection. In the last 24 hours, the token has risen more than 15%.
