With emotion until the end, Spain beat Portugal 1-0 and won qualification for the Final Four of the League of Nations. Fernando Santos’ team stopped at Unai Simon, responsible for great saves, and Álvaro Morata scored the winning goal for La Roja.
After a lukewarm start to the game, Portugal almost opened the scoring on two occasions. In the 25th minute, Morata was triggered by the left, but he hit without much force for a quiet intervention by goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
In the 31st minute, Morata made a beautiful individual move in the middle and finished with his left leg for another great intervention by Diogo Costa. At the end of the game, Nico Williams received a throw in the area, headed for the small area and the Atletico Madrid striker appeared to complete the goal.
