Coach Eduardo Baptista left Atlético-GO after only 6 games in charge
O Atlético-GO announced this Thursday (29) the departure of the coach Eduardo Baptista.
The coach couldn’t resist 2-1 defeat to Corinthianslast Wednesday (28), which was the 4th consecutive setback for Dragão.
“In agreement with the coach Eduardo Baptista, we opted for his dismissal. We wish him success in his career, as he is a professional with a correct and exemplary posture”, wrote the team from Goiânia.
Baptista was just six games in charge of the red-black team, being four for the Brasileirão and two for the Copa Sudamericana.
His only victory was against Sao Pauloprecisely in his debut, in the South American semifinal.
After that, there were five consecutive defeats, including the setback against Tricolor itself, which resulted in the elimination of the international tournament.
Now, Atlético-GO will have to look for a new name to try to escape relegation in the Brazilian.
