The POCO X5 5G should be the Chinese brand’s next launch in the mid-range smartphone market and the device has already had its first specifications revealed by a leak.
According to the folks at Xiaomiui, the successor to the POCO X4 Pro should hit the market with an IPS LCD screen that has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The information is contained in the MIUI 14 beta code and also in the IMEI database.
Also, the device’s internal codename is “redwood”, and its processor will likely be the Snapdragon 778G Plus.
The manufacturer intends to use this chipset to please the public that was disappointed by the performance drop between the POCO X3 and X4 Pro families.
The POCO X5 5G should also have a battery of around 5,000 mAh with a 67W fast charging solution, and the rear set of cameras can house a 108 MP sensor.
For now, the manufacturer does not comment on the matter officially, but the launch forecast for the POCO X5 5G is for the middle of the year. Rumors indicate that he will be first introduced in Chinawith an announcement likely in India as well.
As for availability for other countries, it is still uncertain. Anyway, this and other details about the smartphone could end up leaking over the next few weeks.
