“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever“, continuation of “Black Panther” (2018), had the first trailer released this Monday morning (3). Since the departure of actor Chadwick Boseman, who played the iconic superhero, one of the main doubts among Marvel fans has arisen: who will be the new black panther? At the end of the video, the new Black Panther is revealed, who appears to be a woman in a full new costume. As the look has more golden highlights on her attire worn by T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), and a mask that incorporates a design reminiscent of the paint the character Shuri (Letitia Wright) wore on her face, It’s possible that Shuri – T’Challa’s sister – is the new Black Pantherbut nothing has been officially confirmed by Marvel so far.
Additionally, the trailer features new footage of what appears to be a battle between the kingdoms of Wakanda and Atlantis. The film is slated for a US release on November 11.
After the death of Chadwick Boseman in 2020, Disney said it will not cast another actor to play T’Challa, and will focus on the fictional kingdom of Wakanda and the other characters featured in the first film.
The film features the return of Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba and Angela Bassett in the cast and director Ryan Coogler. And it also has the participation of the Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the undersea mutant from the Marvel comics.
