For the general joy, “Avatar” is already among us! The most successful movie of all time, returns to theaters in 4K HDR format starting this Thursday (22), and invites audiences to revisit Planet Pandora in the year 2154 and relive one man’s struggle to save the alien moon he learns to call home.

And those who are planning to review the film on the big screen, get ready because it comes with a surprise. For starters, a never-before-seen post-credits scene from “Avatar 2” was revealed during the film’s newest theatrical rerun.

The images arrive with the intention of making that warm up of respect before the arrival of the long-awaited sequel, “Avatar: The Path of Water”. The episode was contacted by the international public who had already attended some of the first sessions. The reactions were compiled by Deadline.

Of course, Disney Studios isn’t commenting on anything, but based on numerous Twitter posts, there appears to be a small glimpse of “The Waterway” tagged at the end of “Avatar.” It is worth remembering that the 2009 feature returned this Wednesday (21) to be shown in theaters in South Korea and France, where several of the tweets confirming the information come from. Check out some reactions below:

“This emotional slap that remains intact, pure happiness. I didn’t expect to see a preview of the second movie in a post-credits scene, it was grand and promising,” Maxime wrote.

Another Twitter user stated: “I just saw the re-release of ‘Avatar’ and I’m happy, I saw some footage of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ and it was soooo good. I can’t wait for December!”

“I saw Avatar in IMAX 4K Remastered again, and it was beautiful… I rediscovered the movie. And as for the new scene, I don’t think we’re ready for the visual madness that we’re going to have,” said Anthony Zeyoung.

“The film hasn’t aged, it’s still so beautiful, brilliant in 4D. At the end we had a preview of the 2nd movie in 3D, the rendering was sublime”, said another user who saw the film.

Released in 2009, “Avatar” is written and directed by Oscar winner James Cameron and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver. Nominated in nine Oscar categories, including Best Picture and Best Director, the film won three statuettes: Best Cinematography, Best Production Design and Best Visual Effects.

The production returns to the screens as a warm-up for its sequel “Avatar: O Caminho da Água”, which opens in Brazil on December 15. Check out the production trailer:
