Overwatch 2 launch is targeted by DDoS attacks
On the same day it officially arrived for all players, Overwatch 2 was targeted by a targeted denial of service (DDoS) attack. This caused players who were trying to enjoy the game to be in long queues and receive numerous error messages.
Overwatch 2 director Aaron Keller said that Blizzard worked through much of the night to get the issue resolved. However, all the work ended up being jeopardized when a second wave of attacks was identified by the company, increasing the instability of the servers.
