Flamengo x Avaí: CBF confirms change in date and opens the way for party for titles

The game between Flamengo and Avaí had the change of date confirmed: it went from Sunday to Saturday. In this way, the red-black team must have the opportunity to celebrate the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores titles the day after the game🇧🇷 The match time is maintained at 16:00 (Brasília time).

Initially, the change was held by TV Globo, holder of the rights to broadcast the match. However, the issue was quickly resolved and, with that, Flamengo has everything to celebrate the achievements of the season with the fans.

Flamengo tried to change the match date since last weekend, when Avaí was relegated. Clube da Gávea’s argument was that none of the teams had important pretensions in the Brasileirão and, therefore, there was no need to keep the date as in the other games.

Rubro-Negro has even tried to organize the celebrations since returning from Guayaquil, but was prevented from doing so for various reasons. The biggest of them were presidential elections, which took place the day after the Libertadores decision.
