In an interview with vanity fairthe actor Chris Hemsworth indicated that he is ready to say goodbye to his character Thor in the MCU, revealing that the hero’s next appearance in the Universe of Marvel it may be your last.
“I feel like there are more stories to be told if viewers want to check them out. I’m open to returning if it’s something unique, new and unexpected involving the character and his universe. I’ve always loved that experience. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to do different things in each iteration, but I feel like I’d have to say goodbye [do personagem] if I ever play him again, you know?”
He completes, “I think Thor deserves a conclusion. I feel that the next [filme] it may be your farewell, but I’m not relying on any specific plan when I say that. We’ve seen a hero’s birth, a hero’s journey, and then a hero’s death.”

The film features Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he has ever faced: the quest for self-knowledge.
