For the São Paulo singer Jão, 2022 was certainly marked by good numbers and with a return from the public that only reaffirmed his artistic potential. He was the attraction of Lollapalooza Brasil, was also at Rock in Rio, and toured Brazil, arriving later in Portugal, taking his most recent work Pirata, released in 2021. After so much touring, the musician ends the successful tour in a apotheotic, with a free show, on December 11, in Vale do Anhangabaú, in the center of São Paulo.
Born in a small town in the interior of São Paulo, 28-year-old Jão became a success on streaming platforms, gathering a legion of fans. This was reflected in the Pirata tour, which filled concert halls wherever it went. Pirata has hits like Idiota, Coringa and Não Te Amo.
Jão managed to sell 50,000 tickets at the presentations in the capital of São Paulo alone. “We played six shows here, more than 50,000 tickets were sold. I want this event to be a gift for my fans and also for the city that has so warmly welcomed my work. Singing in the heart of São Paulo, for so many people, will be too beautiful”, celebrates Jão, in promotional material for the tour.
