The Walking Dead: How much does it cost to own Negan’s baseball bat? Item was more disputed than Daryl’s motorcycle at auction – News Series – as seen on the Web

Event promoted by AMC put up for sale more than 100 objects seen throughout the 11 seasons.

On November 20th, the final episode of The Walking Dead will air, ending a successful 12-year run. With the end of the third part of its 11th season, the zombie series will reach the mark of 177 episodes. Many outstanding characters died during the apocalypse, while others came back and continue in the fight for survival.

Incredible duos formed in those years, like Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride). Unexpected romances emerged, like Rick and Michonne’s. Rivalries were born, grew and now became essential alliances – as in the case of Maggie and Negan.

Although there is more than one spin-off announced by the network, nothing compares to the work that started it all. Recently, fans had the chance to get their hands on a piece of history from The Walking Dead thanks to a auction organized by AMC in partnership with the Goldin Auctions website🇧🇷

The special event ran through October 15th, bringing together over 100 items seen throughout the 11 seasons. No wonder the highest bidder of all went to Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) infamous baseball bat. Check out more details below!

NEGAN’S BASEBALL BAT

Negan debuted in The Walking Dead in the final episode of season 6. His iconic baseball bat, nicknamed Lucille and wrapped in barbed wire, is one of the show’s most iconic objects. In the version available online, the metal wire was made of plastic for greater security, but the stick still had the hole left by Rosita (Christian Serratos) in season 7, after shooting the then villain.

The piece was sold for an incredible US$ 51,600, that is, more than R$ 280 thousand.

DARYL’S MOTORCYCLE

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is not Daryl Dixon without his harpoon and motorcycle. Based on a 1992 Honda CB 750 Nighthawk and custom built by Classified Moto, the vehicle first appeared in The Walking Dead as a half-built project in Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Eric’s (Jordan Woods-Robinson) garage in Season 5.

The final price on the motorcycle was US$ 32,400, almost R$ 180,000.

Norman Reedus thought he was going to die after accident on set of The Walking Dead: “It was scary”

CARL’S HAT

This is possibly the most striking item in the entire series: the hat given to Carl (Chandler Riggs) by his father, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), and later entrusted to his sister Judith (Cailey Presley Fleming🇧🇷 Whenever the boy appeared, he had the accessory on his head.

The one for sale was used by Carl between Seasons 6 and 8 and by Judith in Season 9. It was costing US$ 26,400, that is, around R$ 145 thousand.

MICHONNE’S KATANA

In the final moments of Season 2 of The Walking Dead, Andrea (Laurie Holden) got separated from the group of survivors and was attacked by a zombie, who ended up being killed by Michonne (Danai Gurira). Certainly one of the series’ most beloved characters and a pop culture icon, she has never parted with her katana, the traditional sword used by the samurai of ancient and feudal Japan.

The weapon could be yours for the amount of US$ 19,200, that is, approximately R$ 105 thousand.

RICK’S JACKET

Like his hat, Rick’s jacket is one of the most unforgettable outfits from the entire production. The blemishes and marks applied by the costume team couldn’t be more fitting for the leader of a zombie apocalypse.

It was available at auction for US$15,360, which is equivalent to R$84,480.

RICK’S VEHICLE

In his final appearance in The Walking Dead, the sheriff had a delirium in which he was back in his car. Yes, the same one he drove in the pilot of the series, accompanied by his then colleague Shane (Jon Bernthal). The two actors signed their respective doors, on the driver and passenger side.

The car could be purchased for US$ 11,520, that is, more than R$ 63 thousand.
