After suffering a sprain in his right ankle during Brazil’s debut game against Serbia, at the World Cup in Qatar, Neymar used social media to show how his recovery is going. The star is out of the group stage and should only return from the round of 16, if the Brazilian team advances.

Confident in his recovery, the number 10 wrote in the Instagram story: “Let’s go”. The striker was injured during a ball dispute with Milenkovic. The Serbian player tried to disarm the Brazilian and ended up trapping the foot of the number 10 with his knee. The bid happened at 22 minutes of the 2nd half.

Neymar had a lateral ligament injury in his right ankle along with a small bone edema, informed the doctor of the technical commission of the Selection, Rodrigo Lasmar. Outside of training and games, the star will undergo physiotherapy.

In Qatar, Neymar reached a historic milestone when he wore the number 10 shirt for the third World Cup, something that had not happened since the Pelé era, who wore the legendary number in four consecutive World Cups.
