Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Ares, Echidna and Medusa

The cast of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has grown! Last Thursday (13), Disney + announced the casting of actors Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer and Jessica Parker Kennedy as the characters Ares, Echidna and Medusa, respectively.

The three joined Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Virginia Kull, Timm Sharp, Jason Mantzoukas, Glynn Turman and Megan Mullally, interpreters of Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Grover Underwood, Sally Jackson, Gabe Ugliano, Mr. D/Dionísio, Mr. Brunner/Chiron and Mrs. Dodds/Alecto.

Based on the literary phenomenon by Rick Riordan, the series follows the adventures of the demigod Percy. It all starts when the 12-year-old boy, son of the Greek god of the seas and oceans, Poseidon, is accused of having stolen Zeus’ thunderbolt.

Filming for the new adaptation began in June of this year in Vancouver, Canada, under the direction of James Bobin. According to Riordan, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” should arrive on Disney+ only in 2024.
