Actress Lily Collins (“Emily in Paris”) has launched her own audiovisual production company. Entitled Case Study Films, the production company was created in partnership with director Charlie McDowell (“Complications of Love”) and producer Alex Orlovsky (“Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always”).
The trio had previously worked together on the film “Lucky Who?” (2021), which was distributed worldwide by Netflix.
“Case Study Films is about collaboration and storytelling,” Collins said in a statement. “We approach our relationships in all aspects of the filmmaking process – nurturing an idea from conception to launch – alongside established talent and exciting new voices. Our hope is that this will turn into a very special one-stop shop for creative people. .”
The idea is for the production company to develop film projects and TV series financed in partnership with the company High Frequency Entertainment.
The production company already has several projects in development, including the miniseries “Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street”, developed for Hulu, directed by McDowell and starring Collins, and “The Accomplice”, based on the best-selling novel by Lisa Lutz (and also starring Collins), plus a deal to produce series for studio Legendary.
Apart from these projects, the daughter of singer Phil Collins will still be seen in the 3rd season of “Emily in Paris”, which should debut soon on Netflix. She is also involved in the drama “Halo of Stars” and the thriller “Titan”, both of which have yet to be released.
