“Mean Girls 2” may never happen. The long-awaited sequel to the title that marked an entire generation when it debuted in the 2000s may not see the light of day. That’s because Amanda Seyfried, who played karen smith in the feature, said in a recent interview that he believes a sequel to the film should never happen. And, because of that, he proposed another alternative for the cast to get together and bring the characters of the plot back to life.
In an interview with Interview Magazine, released this Wednesday (30), the Oscar-nominated actress spoke with Lindsay Lohan about the possibility of a second film being released. Amanda revealed that she would love for the entire cast to be able to reprise her “Mean Girls” roles, just for one week, in the Broadway musical based on the feature. And then she argued, “Because ‘Mean Girls 2’ is never going to happen, is it?”
The protagonist of “Uma Quedinha de Natal” replied: “I don’t know. I heard something about [a sequência] be a movie musical and I thought, ‘Oh no’. We can’t do this. It needs to be in the same tone”. Her co-star agreed and defended that it would be something completely different. Afterwards, Karen’s interpreter said: “Anyway, Tina [Fey] Are you busy. She will decide what to do”, implying that the screenwriter of the original project has the final say on the issue.
