Corinthians’ roster will have highlights from the Under-17 and ‘professional’ absences

Corinthians has until this Saturday to send the registrations for the next São Paulo Cup to the Paulista Football Federation. According to the investigation of my helmhowever, the list of 30 names has already been fully determined by coach Danilo – see the full list below🇧🇷

Among the main novelties, there are some names that were part of Timão’s Sub-17 team last season. This is the case of goalkeepers Felipe Longo and Cadu, lateral Gabriel Caipira, defensive midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, midfielder Guilherme Henrique and forwards Juninho and Wesley.

The most notable absences are Robert Renan and Giovane, already integrated into the professional team. The presence of the duo for a possible use in the decisive phases was of interest to the youth football department, but it should not happen, possibly at the request of Fernando Lázaro, coach of the main team.

Some of the names little used by Danilo throughout the year in the Sub-20 are also not included in the probable list. This is the situation for Cauan Vieira, Victor Batista, Luan Lino, Matheus Brandt, Gustavo Klug, Bruno Carcaioli, Little Mind, Thalisson and Igor Ratier.

The Cup starts on January 2nd and admits registration of players born between 2002 and 2007. Corinthians is in group 11, alongside Fast Club-MA, Zumbi-AL and Ferroviária-SP.
