Maltida a Top Gun: Check out streaming premieres

The last month of the year has arrived and, with it, many unmissable premieres on the main streams. In addition to the classic holiday movies, some highly anticipated blockbusters also hit the platforms so you can enjoy them right from your couch.

One of them is Top Gun: Maverick (2022) – the long-awaited sequel to the film with Tom Cruise, which broke box office records in 2022 and placed the actor at the top of the list of the highest paid in Hollywood, will finally enter the Paramount+ catalog.

Another long awaited is the new version of Matilda, produced by Netflix. Inspired by the classic story of the girl that became a movie in 1996, the musical version comes to streaming as a Christmas gift to fans, exactly on December 25th.

The new season of the series starring Lily Collins brings conflicts to the social media Emily who, a year after arriving in Paris for the job of her dreams, has to make difficult professional and love decisions to define her future.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Premiere date: December 23rd

In the wake of the success Between Knives and Secrets (2019), by Rian Johnson, tycoon Miles Bron (Edward Norton) gathers a group of people in a resort located on a paradise island to play a game of “who killed”. In addition to his circle of friends, the rich man also invites famous detective Benoit Blanc (Craig). To the guests, Bron explains that he will be killed and that whoever is responsible for unraveling his murder will receive a prize.

Premiere date: December 25th

Directly premiered on streaming, the film tells the story of a lonely and extraordinary little girl, who uses her sharp mind and fertile imagination to change her life and transform the world around her.

Blind Wedding Brazil – Season 2

Premiere date: December 28th

Presented by Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo, the reality shows men and women who know each other without any eye contact and, even in blind dates, decide who to propose to. In this edition, the honeymoon part takes place in a hotel in the Amazon rainforest, and then they go back to their routine to understand whether or not they want to go ahead with the marriage.

Premiere date: December 2

Comedy reality presented by Tom Cavalcante and Gessica Kayane, the famous Gkay, LOL: If you laugh, it’s gone! pits ten professional comedians against each other for six hours straight to keep a straight face while trying to make their opponents laugh. Anyone who shows their teeth is out of contention!

Motherfucker

Premiere date: December 16th

The documentary follows the backstage of Paulo Gustavo’s last tour (1978-2021), a musical show with his mother, Dona Déa, his inspiration to create the most iconic character of his career, Dona Hermínia from the Minha Mãe É Uma Peça franchise. With never-before-seen footage, the film shows the delicious complicity of the two and also features photos and videos from the actor’s childhood and adolescence.

Jack Ryan – Season 3

Premiere date: December 21

Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) is a promising CIA analyst who is given a dangerous assignment after the discovery of a series of dubious bank transfers. However, upon investigating, he is placed at the center of an international conspiracy. After three years of hiatus, the series finally returns to streaming with new episodes.

Yellowstone – Season 5

Premiere date: December 11th

The series’ biggest season, Yellowstone’s fifth season will run for 14 episodes and will see the return of virtually all of the series’ regular cast. The series follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner). Set in the West, the production features several conflicts over land, with the family’s ranch being the largest in the US.

Top Gun: Maverick

The movie that broke records and further boosted Tom Cruise’s career is finally coming to streaming. After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top pilots, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he should be. He pushes himself to the limits as a courageous test pilot while avoiding a promotion in the Armed Forces ranks that would change his life forever.

Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) is an Italian mobster who, after spending 25 years in prison, is released and ends up in a seemingly peaceful city, but which turns out to be far from peaceful. Manfredi used to be in complete control of the business in New York, but he ends up being exiled by his former boss and needs to re-establish his family and business in an entirely different world.

The Legend of the Lost Treasure: On the Edge of History

Based on the film franchise starring Nicolas Cage, the series features Lisette Alexis as the protagonist Jess Morales, a dreamer who seeks answers about her family history and a secret treasure.

If These Walls Could Sing

Premiere date: December 16th

Beatles fans rejoice! The new Disney+ documentary features the story of the legendary Abbey Road studio, where the band made their recordings. Directed by Mary McCartney, daughter of Paul McCartney, the film is a love letter to the place that fostered the creativity of her father and countless artists around the world.

Gossip Girl – season 2

Premiere date: December 1st

The reboot of Gossip Girl arrives at the second season at the beginning of the month. Season two promises to bring even more drama to the Upper East Siders and the return of an iconic character from the original series, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg).

His Dark Materials – Season 3

Premiere date: December 5th

With two episodes a week, His Dark Materials arrives on HBO Max for its final season. The last year brings James McAvoy as one of the protagonists, with a lot of war and even the return of dead characters.

With a star-studded cast, Amsterdam goes straight from theaters to streaming. Set in the 1930s, the feature tells the story of a great friendship and a murder that could threaten the lives of the protagonists and shake an entire society.

Lizzo, Live in Concert

Roberto Carlos show? Nothing! To start 2023 off on the right foot, HBO Max will launch a special with singer Lizzo. The performance was recorded during the artist’s last tour of Los Angeles and features special appearances by Cardi B, SZA and Missy Elliott.
