In an interview with Gizmodo🇧🇷 david harborwho will reprise his role as the Red Guardian in ‘Thunderbolts’revealed that the feature film belonging to Phase 5 of the MCU will “drop a bomb” on the iconic superheroic pantheon.
“It will be really fun”he counts. “It’s going to be weird, there’s going to be action. And we’re also going to reveal a bombshell, it’s going to be shocking, which is pretty cool.”
The team in question is composed of Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow II, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Phantom, david harbor as the Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko like the trainer and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier.
In another interview, this time to comicbook.comHarbor revealed how the heroes will come together to form the iconic team.
“This is one of the initial mysteries. I made a joke about being like ‘Dungeons and Dragons’where you go into a tavern and there’s a dwarf drinking a beer and an elf in the corner, we all get together and then there’s this ghost… It won’t happen that way, I think”he said.
The actor continues: “But I think one of the mysteries of the movie is their relationship, and as you say, there’s a lot of exciting things as we get through that next phase, in terms of their role in this universe. So, you know, I can’t say too much right now, but there’s a really good introduction to how this team comes together, and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Jake Schreier‎‎ (Frank and the Robot) is set to direct, while Eric Pearson (Black Widow) is responsible for the script.
‘Thunderbolts’ will conclude Phase 5 of the MCU, with the premiere scheduled for July 26, 2024.
