The John Wick franchise continues to expand. In addition to the fourth film in the franchise with Keanu Reeves, a series about the Continental hotel and a spin-off film, Ballerina, are still in production. This feature film may just avoid a major problem for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The feature film that will see the return of Keanu Reeves will star Ana de Armas in the lead role. The story will follow the main character seeking to avenge her family.
Ballerina is directed by Len Wiseman, with a screenplay by Emerald Fennell and Shay Hatten. In addition, actor Ian McShane will also return.
Ballerina can finally deliver a story that audiences wanted to see in Black Widow, in the MCU. let’s see how

The Black Widow we want to see
Rooney’s (Ana de Armas) backstory in Ballerina may sound familiar to MCU fans, as the same storyline was nearly used for Scarlett Johansson’s first solo film as Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow.
During a flashback scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Natasha relived her past,
being trained as an assassin in the “Red Room” by taking ballet lessons.
This harrowing montage has fans begging for a Black Widow solo film for years, hoping to get more insight into Natasha’s past.
However, Black Widow didn’t quite live up to expectations, which leaves the door open for Ballerina to give MCU viewers the Black Widow story they’ve always wanted to see – but outside of Marvel.
Plus, Ballerina can tell this story without fear of violating a PG-13 rating, meaning viewers get to see what a Black Widow would look like in the real world.
Ballerina, a John Wick spin-off film, has no release date. John Wick 4, starring Keanu Reeves, opens on March 23, 2023.
