Santos insists, but has difficulty advancing by hiring Edenílson, an Internacional midfielder. Eduardo Coudet’s Atlético-MG is the main competitor.
Peixe has already made more than one proposal, but did not reach the values requested by Inter. President Andres Rueda has also talked about exchanging players, but has not been successful so far.
Santos proposed the purchase of Edenílson, with an amount considerably below what Colorado wants. The Gauchos showed interest in some athletes, but all are in Peixe’s plans: John, Felipe Jonatan, Vinicius Zanocelo and Lucas Braga.
Santos knows the difficulty of negotiation, but does not give up. Edenílson is the priority of coach Odair Hellmann and sports coordinator Falcão. They understand that the 32-year-old midfielder would fit like a glove.
Meanwhile, Atlético-MG also did not advance. Galo has financial difficulties, but has a bigger budget for salaries and more bargaining chips to offer Inter. Edenilson wants to leave and likes both options: Santos de Odair and Atlético de Coudet, two coaches he has worked with.
Just like they did with right-back Rodinei, Santos wants to exhaust the possibilities before leaving for Plan B. Odair Hellmann’s combined with Falcão and Andres Rueda is to go all the way for priorities in the market.
In addition to Edenilson, the club wants a defender, a right-back, another midfielder and two strikers. Negotiations are underway for Colombian Steven Mendoza, from Ceará.
Rooster has different strategy
While Santos accepts to put money to buy Edenílson, Atlético-MG does not intend to invest. The Belo Horizonte club offered a list of players for an exchange.
Atletico don’t want to spend on a 32-year-old player, but Coudet wants to do it. Galo agrees to give up Hyoran and Nathan, who were at Red Bull Bragantino and Atlético-MG, respectively. Inter showed interest in Keno, however, this one will not be released.
