After the official notes of Basqueon Friday, and Botafogothis Saturday, the Fluminense also announced, through its president, Mário Bittencourt, that it will not sign the broadcasting contract for Carioca Championship in the terms presented by Ferj🇧🇷
The tricolor club was the only one that had never entered into an agreement with the entity. Botafogo and Vasco were initially going to sign, but changed their position when they learned, through the press, that Ferj had reached an agreement with Flamengo in which the red-blacks would receive double the amount.
– Fluminense, from the first contact, did not accept Carioca’s division of values, as it defends a fair and balanced division of revenues, maintaining consistency with the position adopted by the club as a member of the Liga Forte Futebol group in relation to the sale of rights of the Brazilian Championship – said the president of Fluminense, Mário Bittencourt, to the blog “Panorama Esportivo”, of the newspaper “O Globo”.
During the week, columnist Gilmar Ferreira, from “Extra”, reported that Flamengo would receive R$ 18 million gross for the five-year agreement with brax, the company responsible for negotiating the transmission rights for the Estado, against BRL 9 million for Vasco and BRL 9 million for Botafogo.
