After the group stage, 16 teams qualified for the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar. The games in this stage start this Saturday, with two games a day, at 12h and 16h (Brasília time). Brazil, who missed this fridaytakes the field only on Monday, against South Korea.
This Saturday, the Netherlands and the United States will take the field, at noon, and Argentina and Australia, at 4 pm. On Sunday, defending champions France face Poland, while Senegal takes on England.
On Monday, there’s Japan against Croatia and Brazil against South Korea, while, on Tuesday, the last day of the round of 16, Morocco faces Spain and Portugal takes on Switzerland. Not to forget: whoever loses at this stage is eliminated from the competition.
The Netherlands were placed first in Group A, followed by Senegal in second. For group B, the qualified were England and the United States, while, in group C, Argentina and Poland passed. For group D, France and Australia were the best placed.
Japan surprised positively and took the first place in group E, with Spain in second, while, in group F, Morocco was the best, followed by current runner-up Croatia. In group G, Brazil was first, with Switzerland in the lead, and, in key H, Portugal was first, with South Korea in second.
