Corinthians will have the return of Matheus Alexandre, a right-back who was loaned to Coritiba a season and a half ago and should join the squad on December 14th.
Matheus never played in a Corinthians shirt. The 23-year-old player was bought in 2019 from Ponte Preta and re-loaned to the Campinas team afterwards. The player varied between the under-23 and professional team there in 2020, played in the State in 2021 for Inter de Limeira and was loaned again to Coritiba, in September 2021.
O my helm continues with the analysis series of athletes loaned by the club this season who return to CT Dr. Joaquim Records in December and can be used by Fernando Lázaro. Thus, we bring points from Matheus Alexandre’s loan to Coritiba:
Improvisations and access to Serie A
Matheus Alexandre arrived in the final part of the 2021 season for the Coritiba team, and even made his debut, against Vasco da Gama, acting as a striker on the right. The player was substituted in the 38th minute of the first half after being expelled from the team.
Since then, he has alternated between periods at striker and right-back, his original position. If in 2021 he played only three times, in 2022 the player gained space after the injury to the starting side, Natanael.
The heat map, taken from the platform sofascore helps the fan understand the offensive issue of Matheus Alexandre in the 2022 season, more specifically in the Brasileirão.
The most striking feature of the athlete is the ability to contribute offensively, going down to the bottom line at all times. However, defensive power is a problem criticized by Coritiba fans this season.
Anyway, the debut?
Hired four seasons ago, Matheus Alexandre has a contract with the club until the end of 2023. If the board and technical commission choose to transfer him to another team, the player can end his time at Corinthians without ever having entered the field.
