Who didn’t want the iconic duo Andy and Miranda back? This Tuesday (1st), Anne Hathaway revealed her opinion on the possibility of a sequel to the iconic 2000s film “The Devil Wears Prada”. The actress was sincere and explained why she believes that a part two of the feature will not happen.
The film, released in 2006, was a huge success at the box office and grossed over US$ 326 million (about R$ 1.6 billion) worldwide. The 16th birthday happened in September and fans were rooting for a sequel with Anne and the other stars of the production, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. However, in an interview with the talk show The View, Hathaway commented on the return of the feature.
When asked about a possible sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada,” the 39-year-old actress explained why she thinks it won’t happen. 🇧🇷I don’t know if there can be. I just think the movie was in a different era. Now, everything has gone so digital, and this movie is centered around the concept of producing a physical thing, and it’s just very different now.“, he explained.
🇧🇷It’s tempting to think of Andy and Emily needing to get Miranda’s coffee and her being somewhere in Europe and then along the way they pick up Stanley Tucci in Italy who is at a restaurant. It’s tempting, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. They could relaunch it, get some new people and make it”, evaluated the artist in the conversation. Watch:
In the chat, Anne also commented on the recent moment at New York Fashion Week, in which she wore an outfit very similar to the iconic look that her character, Andy, wears at the end of the film. On the occasion, for the Michael Kors fashion show, the actress sat next to Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of North American Vogue. Coincidence?

🇧🇷It just happened. I should wear something else, Michael Kors sent two nice outfits and the shoes didn’t fit what I thought I was going to wear, and the other was that one. I was working with a new hairdresser, and he said, ‘Oh, a turtleneck, let’s put your hair in a ponytail.’ I looked in the mirror on the way out the door and I was like, ‘This is funny, I wonder if anyone will notice?’“, he joked.
