The Portuguese Bruno Fernandes finished the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar with the highest score in the partial selection of the tournament, updated by GLOBO. After all the teams entered the field for three rounds, the Manchester United attacking midfielder added an average of 8.1 with his performances.

He secured the top spot on the list even after the Portuguese national team disappointed this Friday, with the defeat against South Korea by 2-1. The result kept the Portuguese in first place in Group H – they face Switzerland in the round of 16.

The second highest score of the team in the first phase of the Cup is the German Jamal Musiala, with a score of 8. Hardly, however, he will remain in the team of highlights of the tournament, since his team was eliminated — in his group he passed Spain and Japan.

Brazil has only one representative on the list — the midfielder Casemiro has a score of 7.6. The teams with the most players in the partial selection for the Cup are England and the Netherlands, each with two participations.

The World Cup selection is updated at the end of each phase based on the average scores distributed by Brazilian and foreign journalists after each World Cup match.
