Grêmio continues to reformulate the squad for the 2023 season and one of the names that the board would like to have on the squad is Kannemann. The defender’s situation remains undefined at Tricolor Gaúcho and the club adopts a new strategy to count on the athlete next year.
Grêmio negotiations with the defender
According to information from journalist João Batista Filho, Imortal offered a monthly salary of R$400,000 and more bonuses for the defender. However, the Argentine refused Grêmio’s first proposal and asked for an amount of R$800,000 per month plus bonuses.
In response, the Gremista leadership made a counter-proposal and offered an undisclosed amount, but above the initial R$400,000. However, the player once again denied Alberto Guerra and company’s offer. So, the club is preparing one last strategy to have the defender in 2023. The club will wait for the cast to be re-presented on December 8 and then have an eye-to-eye conversation with Kannemann.
Quarterback 2022 season
In 2022, the Gremista defender suffered from injuries during the season and did little to help the team. The player suffered a muscle injury on June 18th and returned only in September, against Sampaio Corrêa, in Serie B. Therefore, until this game, the Argentine had played in only five matches in the year.
