The six players who know they won’t be staying at São Paulo in 2023 still have contracts with the club and may even show up for training from December 14th, when the tricolor squad returns from vacation.
The board, however, admits to releasing those players who request or who have already agreed with new clubs from activities.

In the final stretch of the Brazilian, Miranda was the first to announce that he would not stay at the club – he ended the season injured and did not play the last few rounds. Shortly after the victory over Goiás, the final match of the year, Reinaldo also confirmed that he would not renew.
The following day, the board informed that midfielder Andrés Colorado and strikers Eder and Marcos Guilherme would not have their ties extended.
The sixth player, unlike the others, whose departures were expected, surprised by asking for termination. Nahuel Bustos, dissatisfied with the expectation of having few opportunities in 2023, requested the termination – which the club accepted without imposing barriers.
Terminating the contract of these dismissed athletes would not bring savings to São Paulo, since the amounts for the last two months plus the 13th salary would have to be paid upon termination. In addition, everyone is on vacation, which prevents layoffs at this time.
Therefore, everyone continues as São Paulo employees, but they already know that they will not be used so that they can look for other clubs. That way, they will even be able to use the club’s structure for training from the 14th, when the vacation ends.
With the market not very warm, São Paulo is close to a first reinforcement, striker Pedrinho, ex-América-MG, who is at Lokomotiv, in Russia. The deal is on loan. The club is also interested in midfielder Wellington Rato, from Atlético-GO. Gabriel Neves and Rafinha, who also had contracts until December, renewed.
