On November 22, 2002, exactly two decades ago, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets premiered in theaters in Brazil. The second feature film in the saga, released a year after the success of The Philosopher’s Stone, was a new opportunity for fans to watch their favorite characters from literature on the big screen.
Based on the books by writer JK Rowling, the cinematographic saga grossed more than US$7.7 billion (R$41.2 billion) at the box office, and helped to consolidate the Wizarding World as one of the most fascinating universes that the seventh art has ever known.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Chamber of Secrets, Warner Bros. prepared a surprise for potterheads: just like last year, in which the studio re-screened Philosopher’s Stone in theaters, this time the second feature in the saga will win a series of special screenings.
Next Saturday, November 26, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be shown again in cinemas throughout Brazil. The pre-sale of tickets for the event, which promises to gather fans from all corners of the country, started on the last 11th, and is still available through our website or app.

Daniel Radcliffe | Harry Potter
The actor continued his career, and is now 33 years old. He had prominent roles in the feature films Master Trick 2: The Second Act (2016) and in animation Playmobil: The Movie (2019), lending his voice to the character Rex in the original version. Unfortunately, big names in the cast of The Chamber of Secrets they are no longer with us. This is the case of Richard Griffiths (Uncle Vernon), who died in 2013; Alan Rickman, the eternal teacher Snape, who died in 2016; and the interpreter of the giant Hagrid, actor Robbie Coltrane, who left us this year. The film also marks the last appearance of Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore, who was lived in the later films by actor Michael Gambon.
