Lakers beat Wizards with 55-point performance from Anthony Davis

The Lakers won their third straight victory of the season, defeating the Wizards on Sunday night by 130-119 with an absurd performance by Anthony Davis. The player scored 55 points and was close to his career high of 59 and still collaborated with 17 rebounds.

With him, LeBron James also had a great game scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds in 34 minutes he was on the court.

Another who deserves mention for his constancy and for proving to be a reliable scorer is Loonie Walker, who ended the night with 20 points and a great use of 70% of his shots.

With Davis playing MVP-worthy basketball and LeBron still producing at a high level, fans are starting to imagine that this team with a few tweaks can still make a splash this season. The team has undoubtedly played better than last season and now has a 10-12 record and is slowly climbing its standings in the West.

Russ had an underwhelming night when it comes to points, scoring just six but collaborating with his teammates handing out 15 assists and grabbing seven rebounds.

The Lakers controlled the game for most of the game, before the Wizards sketched a late reaction in the last period. Washington’s team still cut the lead to 11, but it was too late for Kuzma’s team to try anything else.

Undefeated in this series on the road after also beating the Bucks, the Lakers will look to keep the same pace when they face Cleveland next Tuesday.
