Ronaldinho Gaúcho was very close to agreeing with Corinthians. The revelation was made by Ronaldo Fenômeno this Sunday night, during an interview with the podcast PodPahdirectly from Qatar, stage of the World Cup.
According to R9, the friend and teammate of the Brazilian national team was close to being his own substitute at Parque São Jorge – Fenômeno retired in February 2011, after the defeat of Corinthians to Tolima (COL) in the pre-Libertadores.
“We tried a lot with Ronaldinho Gaúcho at Corinthians, but Assis (former player, brother and manager) gave me a leg up. It was almost closed, Assis went and gave a leg up, took him to Flamengo. We talked, everything was fine right. It was to continue. I was going to stop, he was going to enter. Assis gave me a kick that I will never forget”, revealed Ronaldo.
Considered one of the greatest players in history, Ronaldinho had already revealed his desire to have played for Corinthians in 2017, two years after his retirement.
At the time, after refusing to go to Parque São Jorge, Gaúcho transferred from Milan (ITA) to Flamengo.
