With Atltico and Amrica, LFF negotiates with investors and asks for a meeting with CBF

The Liga Forte Futebol (LFF) clubs, including Atltico and Amrica, advanced in negotiations with some investors and called a meeting with the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues.

In a note released on social networks, the LFF says that “it is excited by the high level of interest from investors in creating the League through the premises that the LFF deems adherent to a better product”.

The process of attracting interested parties is carried out by XP Investimentos.

The LFF highlighted that it is “discussing a format of balanced division between the clubs to guarantee resources for Series A and B”.

The LFF is formed by Amrica, Atltico, Atltico-GO, Athletico-PR, Ava, Brusque, Cear, Chapecoense, Coritiba, CRB, Cricima, CSA, Cuiab, Fluminense, Fortaleza, Gois, Internacional, Juventude, Londrina, Nutico, Operrio, Sampaio Corra, Sport, Tombense and Vila Nova.


The LFF competing with Libra (Brazilian Football League), formed by Botafogo, Flamengo, Vasco, Cruzeiro, Corinthians, Palmeiras, Santos, So Paulo, Red Bull Bragantino, Guarani, Ponte Preta, Novorizontino and Ituano.

As the transmission rights are sold to TV Globo until 2024, Libra or LFF will come into effect in 2025, with a new negotiation of quotas. The main divergence between the groups is the division of income. See below:


  • 40% of the amount shared equally between the teams
  • 30% depending on your performance in Series A or B
  • 30% variable by engagement and audience.
  • 15% of the amount raised goes to Serie B

  • 25% commercial, with objective and measurable parameters
  • Difference in income between biggest and smallest club targeting a limit of 1.6 over time (Premier League reference), with a ceiling of 3.5 from the first year;
  • Commitment that Series B will receive 20% of proceeds from the sale of broadcasting rights
