Mbappé or Kylian Sanmi Mbappé Lottin has been the constant target of racist and xenophobic attacks from a very young age. As of last May, the persecution for his relationship with the transsexual model Ines Rau has been added to the list. He is a candidate to be chosen as the best player of the Cup and, this Sunday afternoon (4), he was already the top scorer of the tournament, with five goals.

The persecution had an episode of enormous repercussion in Qatar, during the World Cup. In a broadcast by the station “TyC Sports”, a group of fans from Argentina sang a song that contained phrases that discriminated against Mbappé both because of the affair with Rau and because of the origin of the attacker’s family.

“They play in France but they are all from Angola. How beautiful they are going to run, they eat transvestites like Mbappé’s p ****. Your old woman is Nigerian, your old man is Cameroonian, but in the document he is naturalized French”, says an excerpt from the song. The video went viral and generated a wave of outrage on the networks.

Solidarity with Pierre Webó

Mbappé has taken a firm stand against racism and has refused to talk about his relationship with Rau.

A game valid for the last round of the UEFA Champions League group stage on December 8, 2020 was suspended after the fourth official’s racist act against Pierre Webó, a member of the coaching staff of the Turkish team Basaksehir

Both the Turkish team and Mbappé’s Paris Saint-Germain players refused to continue with the game after fourth referee Sebastian Coltescu’s racist act.

In post-match interviews the following day, when play resumed, Mbappé was emphatic in saying: “We are tired, we don’t want to go through this again.” And he added: “Of course I’m proud of what we’ve done. We weren’t disappointed not to play. We made that decision, we are proud. A lot has been said, but really, there’s nothing better than action.”

Ines Rau

Mbappé and Ines Rau were seen for the first time in May in Cannes and were later spotted by paparazzi on a yacht belonging to the superstar. The news was also given by the Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ and reproduced by several media in Europe.

Ines Rau became famous for being the first trans model to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine, back in 2017. She is the daughter of Algerian parents.

At age 16, she underwent sex reassignment surgery. However, only at 24 did she have the courage to expose her story publicly. In 2018, the model released an autobiography entitled “Mulher”.
