The Handmaid’s Tale continues to be a critical and popular success and has been renewed for a sixth season by Hulu, before the fifth premieres. Although Hulu like Netflix and other streaming services do not release audience numbers, the series remains the flagship of weekly releases on Hulu, being seen by millions of subscribers every Wednesday. In September 2022, the month of release of the fifth season, The Handmaid’s Tale was fifth in Nielsen’s ranking of most watched streaming.
The sixth season, however, will be the last of the series. “It has been a true honor to tell the story of Margaret Atwood’s groundbreaking book and hauntingly relevant world, and we are thrilled to bring viewers a sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. We are grateful to Hulu and MGM for allowing us to tell this story. , which sadly remained as relevant as ever throughout its run, and we’re in awe of our amazing fans for their unwavering support, and without whom we never would have made it to this point.”

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Release Date: When?
In Brazil, the premiere should continue on Paramount Plus, UOL Play and Prime Video (Canal Paramount Plus). The premiere should take place on a date close to the launch in the United States. The arrival at Globoplay should take even longer, since at the time of publication of this article, the premiere of the fifth season has not yet taken place on Globo’s streaming.

Yes, The Handmaid’s Tale will end in season five. However, the series will be preceded by a spinoff, which will continue to tell the story of Gilead, being based on the book of the same name The Testaments.
Considering that readers never see June have a proper ending in the original book because she continues in The Testaments, fans of the series are curious to know if the television adaptation might have a different outcome in the transition between the existing series and the spinoff.
